Friday Night in the ER

Friday Night at the ER – hospital simulation game in session

This simulation enables experiential learning in which leaders—in small groups of 6–8—complete a 24-hour shift as the hospital leadership team.

They manage different patient flows, handle unexpected challenging events, and make decisions that immediately affect hospital performance—all within one real-time hour. Experiences are then reflected on together to gain valuable insights for everyday leadership.

Key learning objectives (aligned with the client)

  • Strategy, goal definition, and implementation
  • Collaboration and communication
  • Initiative and taking responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and action
  • Decision-making in uncertain, complex contexts
